This privacy policy explains what personal data I process when you request a quote, contact me or use this website, why I process it, and what rights you have. It is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Finnish Data Protection Act.

What data I process
Quote form. When you send a quote request, I receive the details you enter:
- name and phone number
- email address (optional)
- car make and model
- the services you are interested in
- your message
- any photos you attach (up to five)
Contact. When you contact me by email, phone, text message or WhatsApp, I process your contact details and the content of your messages.
Customers. If you book a job, I also process details about the booking, the work done and invoicing.
Technical data. Using the website produces technical data such as your IP address and browser details. It is used to deliver the website, keep it secure and block spam (see Cookies and analytics).
Purposes and legal basis
I process your data for the following purposes:
- Answering your quote request and arranging a booking. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- Managing the customer relationship, such as agreeing on the work, answering questions and giving aftercare advice. The legal basis is the contract and my legitimate interest in looking after my customers (Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
- Running the website securely, such as protecting the form from spam. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the website working and secure (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Accounting. If I do work for you, invoicing records are kept as required by the Finnish Accounting Act (Article 6(1)(c)).
I do not use your data for direct marketing, and I do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing.
Photos
Photos help me assess the condition of the car and give you an accurate price. Please photograph only the car and avoid capturing licence plates, people or other identifying details. If a plate or a person is visible, I use the photo only to answer your quote request.
The form resizes photos in your browser before sending them, which also removes metadata such as location data. I never publish photos sent by customers without separate permission.
How long I keep data
I keep data only as long as it is needed:
- Quote requests and messages: deleted when no longer needed, normally no later than 12 months after our last contact, unless a customer relationship requires keeping them longer.
- Customer details: as long as the customer relationship requires.
- Invoices and other accounting records: as required by the Finnish Accounting Act, generally six years.
Processors and recipients
I use trusted service providers that process data on my behalf and on my instructions:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): website hosting, processing the quote form, Turnstile spam protection and cookieless visitor analytics (Web Analytics).
- Resend (Resend, Inc., United States): delivering quote requests to me by email.
- Email provider: quote requests and email messages are stored in my email inbox.
The website does not store your data in a separate database: a quote request is delivered to me by email. Data may be disclosed to authorities only when required by law.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some service providers (such as Cloudflare, Resend and Google) are based in the United States, so data may also be processed outside the EU and EEA. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
WhatsApp and phone
You can also reach me on WhatsApp, by phone or by text message. When you use WhatsApp, your messages pass through Meta’s service, and WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply to that processing. I use your messages only to reply to you and to look after our customer relationship.
Cookies and analytics
The website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, so no cookie banner is needed.
- Visitor analytics: I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify individual visitors. It collects aggregated data such as page view counts.
- Spam protection: the quote form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process technical data needed to tell people from bots, such as your IP address and browser characteristics. This data is not used for advertising.
- Map: the map on the website is an image; the website does not load Google Maps. The directions link opens Google Maps only when you click it, and Google’s terms then apply.
- Google reviews: the customer reviews shown on the website are fetched from Google Maps when the website is published, not in your browser. The reviewers’ profile pictures, however, load directly from Google’s (Google LLC) servers, so your browser sends Google technical data such as your IP address when reviews are displayed. Google may process this data under its own privacy policy. I send Google no other data about you.
Security
The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Only I have access to the data, and I use strong passwords and two-factor authentication for my services where available.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your data, i.e. know what data I process about you
- have inaccurate data rectified
- have your data erased
- restrict the processing
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- receive the data you provided in a portable format (data portability)

If you believe your data is processed in breach of data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto, tietosuoja.fi).
Automated decision-making
I do not make automated decisions or profile customers based on your data. I handle every quote request myself.
Changes
I will update this policy if the way I process data changes. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of the page.
