Ceramic coating

Protection you can see and feel.

A ceramic coating forms a hard, slick protective layer on top of the paint. Water beads up and runs off, dirt doesn’t stick as easily and washing the car is quicker. The paint also gets a deep, wet-look gloss.

A coating locks in whatever is in the paint underneath, scratches included. That’s why I recommend polishing before coating for most cars. Polish + Ceramic is my signature finish: a 1-stage polish removes swirls and haze, and the coating protects the result.

If the car is new or the paint is already in very good shape, the coating alone can be enough. The coating on its own costs 200€, with polishing charged separately.

The process

How it works

  1. Photos and plan

Send photos of the car and I’ll tell you whether it needs polishing before the coating, and which option suits you.

  2. Wash and decontamination

The car is washed and the paint thoroughly decontaminated, so the coating bonds to a perfectly clean surface.

  3. Polish

Where needed the paint is polished, so swirls and haze are removed before they get locked under the coating.

  4. Coating and curing

I apply the coating panel by panel and let it cure indoors. Polish and coating usually take 1–2 days.

It suits anyone who wants the car to look good for longer and be easier to wash.

  • A new or nearly new car whose paint you want to protect from day one.
  • A freshly polished car whose gloss you want to keep.
  • A daily driver that faces salt, sand and slush all year round.
  • Owners who want washing the car to be quicker and easier.

Frequently asked

If you have more questions, contact me through WhatsApp or email.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

It depends on the coating used, how much you drive and how the car is washed and stored. With your quote I’ll tell you which coating I use and how long you can expect it to last.

Does the car need polishing before coating?

Usually, yes. A coating doesn’t remove scratches, it locks them in. On a new car or paint in very good shape, the coating alone can be enough – I can judge that from your photos.

How do I look after a coated car?

Wash it by hand and avoid brush car washes. The coating needs time to fully cure, so at hand-over I’ll give you clear care instructions for the first weeks.
